Stacking Rings
Stacking toys are great for developing fine motor skills. Picking up and putting objects in place help children practice hand and muscle control, and intentional grasp and release skills.
Stacking rings in particular are good for hand-eye coordination and they need to learn how to control and position their fingers. I especially like the taller towers as they are more challenging and require different hand positions for different sized rings which encourage problem solving. As they get older, they will also learn about colour recognition, size discrimination sequencing.
From about 12 months onwards they may start trying to stack the rings, but they can be used for grasping and rolling before this.
